DELTA GLASS REPAIR RESINS

Click on the tabs below to read more information on each of our resins.

Pit Filler takes the brunt of the wear and tear on a repaired stone chip in a windshield. It has the most exposed surface to the elements than any other part of the repair.

Pit FillerA good Pit Filler resin should:

  • Resist the effects of weathering.
  • Have good light refractive qualities.
  • Cure to a hard finish that can be polished to a nice shine.
  • Have a superior bond to the surface of the glass so weather can't seep under the thin edges of a chip repair.
  • Have good workability so that when shaving off the excess after the cure, it does not loosen up the edge of the resin.

This is Delta Glass Repair Pit Filler Formula resin.

Even technicians that are currently with franchises and purchase agreements with other suppliers buy our resins. They're that good!

Delta Glass Repair Pit Filler Formula resin is great for damming up the outside edge of a crack that runs off the windshield. This is a technique we have recommended since 1986.

Some use it to repair other types of glass.

Pit Filler resin is packaged in 1/2 ounce plastic bottles and Pipettes.

The Minnesota Formula windshield repair resin is completely different than anything you have used before. It was developed for the sole purpose of repairing stone damage and cracks in windshields, not for some other manufacturing need, like so much of the resin used by our competitors.

Pit FillerThis is why it is different:

  • The light refractive index is a closer match to glass.

  • For maximum bonding strength, the resin prepares the surfaces of the broken glass to accept the resin molecules (proper wetting).

  • The effects of shrinkage are nullified during the curing process because of the altered manner in which the resin is cured.

  • This formula resin bonds to the polyvinylbuteral (PVB) full. It does not leach into it as most windshield repair resins do - a common contributor to spalling. There are some resins that do not attach to the PVB at all, allowing voids due to shrinkage at the bottom of the repair.

  • You will experience fewer call-backs. The elasticity of our resin absorbs the stresses caused by extreme weather changes and unusual driving conditions.

  • With Delta Glass Repair resins, your repair will not only be completely filled, but will also be durable, non-yellowing, optically matched to glass, and have the best bond to glass than anything you are currently using. Your repair will look better as time goes by.

The Iowa Formula windshield repair resin is completely different than anything you have used before. It was developed for the sole purpose of repairing stone damage and cracks in windshields, not for any other purpose, like so much of the resin being offered by our competitors.

Pit FillerThe Iowa Formula windshield repair resin is a thinner version of the Minnesota Formula. However, due to the changes made to decrease the viscosity of this resin, it is less elastic but not as brittle as most resins being used to repair stone chips and cracks. It has a bit more shrinkage than the Minnesota Formula, but not as much as most resins on the market today, and can be offset by using a little different technique in curing. The increased ability of the resin to flow when temperatures get colder was the main benefit derived from the changes.

The benefits you will notice using the Iowa Formula are:

  • Good flow characteristics.
  • Great optical match to the glass.
  • Less shrinkage than most resins.
  • Great bonding to glass.
  • Non-yellowing and weathering.
  • Easy workability.

With Delta Glass Repair resin, your repairs will not only be completely filled, but will also be durable, non-yellowing, optically matched to the glass, and obtain the best bond to the glass than anything you are currently using. Your repairs will look better as time goes by.

Iowa resin is packaged in 1/2 ounce plastic bottles and Pipettes.
